Quite the unique bowl that presented a self-inflicted problem.  I went too shallow on the bottom when doing the final work.  Whenever a problem presents itself in the workshop, it becomes an chance to experiment!  I found a plastic container to hot glue to the bottom and poured a dark blue translucent epoxy.  I couldn't let this one go to waste with the amazing patterns on the side of the bowl.  You'll fall in love too. 
 
This Mesquite bowl is 10 1/2" diameter by 4 1/2" tall. 
Finished with three coats of spray lacquer.  Food safe.
 
Wooden bowls are intended to be art pieces.  The finish is food safe and there's not much you need to do for care.  If it's dusty, carefully dust it.  A can of compressed air works great!
 
If you intend to use it for food, some fruit is a nice touch.  Keep the bowl dry though, water is the enemy.
 
Hold the bowl with two hands from the bottom, never from the top edge.
